Pharmacy
Objective
The Hospital Pharmacy aims to serve the needs of the patients treated in the
institution, who deserve its best services, by providing at all times an adequate supply
of safe, effective and good quality drugs in an appropriate dosage forms consistent
with the needs of the patients, and effective clinical practice and management.
Location
The Pharmacy is located at the Ground Floor of the Pharmacy Building situated
between the Private Division and Clinical Division Buildings.
Operating Hours
The Pharmacy is open 24 hours a day and seven days a week.
Dispensing
Dispensing of drugs and medical supplies to outpatients with the Pharmacist exercising his knowledge/understanding, judgment, skills, controls, and ethics.

- Ambulatory patients
In Patient dispensing of drugs (over the counter, prescription, controlled,regulated dangerous) and medical supplies to in patients for all orders of standing order medications, stat orders, PRN orders, bulk preparations, IV fluids.
Clinical Pharmacy Services
Involvement of the pharmacist in the patient's area where they participate professionally with the patient care team i.e, doctors, nurses, etc. These services include:
- Unit Dose Drug Distribution System - a pharmacy coordinated system of dispensing & controlling medications wherein medications are dispensed in a ready to administer form as much as possible. No more than 24 hours supply of doses is delivered or available at a time, and a patient drug profile is maintained.
- IV Admixture Program - all IV admixtures are prepared & manipulated in a
suitable environment using aseptic technique of preparation under the laminar flow hood.

Computer Service
Charging and posting of bills, inventory, etc.

(physicians, HIKA members, DC members, HAPLOS, and Senior Citizens)
