CRM Clinics

The CRM offers a vast array of diagnostic and therapeutic services that are among the most complete and comprehensive in the country. These can be found in the various units:

• Pulmonary Vascular Unit - coordinates the diagnostic (hypercoagulability panel, immunologic studies, duplex scan, venography, pulmonary arteriography, ventilation perfusion scan) and therapeutic (anticoagulation, thrombolysis and inferior vena cava filters) efforts for the evaluation of venous thromboembolism.



• Interventional Pulmonology Unit - offers videobronchoscopy, airway stenting and laser resection of airway lesions. It is pioneering effort of the CRM in the country.



• Pulmonary Rehabilitation Unit gives COPD patients a shot at a better quality of life as it helps them cope with the symptoms of the disease. In cooperation with Rehabilitation Medicine, exercise training, education and behavioral programs are offered. Cardiopulmonary exercise tests may help distinguish among the various causes of dyspnea.



• Sleep and Snore Diagnostics and Treatment Unit. - Complete in-lab polysomnography is available at the EEG unit and limited channel studies are also available for screening suspected sleep apneics (hypertensive snorers, excessive sleepiness). Treatment in the form of CPAP ventilation and surgical approaches are also offered in the integrated unit. Neurology and ENT are vital partners in this service.



• Diagnostics Unit - Complete Pulmonary Function Tests (PFT) and arterial blood gas determinations are available. The only impulse oscillometric study (for those with difficulties in PFT) in the country is available at UST.
