The Fellowship Training Program in Rheumatology, Clinical Immunology and Osteoporosis is a two-year clinical program duly accredited by the Philippine Specialty Board of Rheumatology. Certification examinations are required by the Phillippine Specialty Board of Internal Medicine (Philippine College of Physicians) followed by the Philippine Specialty Board of Rheumatology (Philippine Rheumatology Association).
Integral to the training program are hands-on training opportunities in other spheres of activities, such as:

Private Out-Patient Clinics of the Rheumatology Staff
In-patients/referrals
Clinical Division
In-patients of the Rheumatology Service and referrals from other Departments/Sections
Outpatient Rheumatology Clinics
In addition, weekly Rheumatology Audits and Rheumatology Conferences are highlight activities of the Section. Fellows also actively participatein the general activites of the Hospital and of the Department of Medicine, e.g., Department Audit, Medical Grand Rounds and in the undergraduate Modules in Internal Medicine. Fellows are likewise involved in the CME programs of the Unit, e.g., training courses, osteoporosis lectures for professional and lay audiences, etc. and of the Department of Medicine, e.g., the annual postgraduate courses, as well as those of Arthritis Care and Research Foundation of the Philippines, Lupus Foundation of the Philippines, Philippine Rheumatology Association and Osteoporosis Society of the Philippines.
Residents and/or Fellows from other services of the Hospital may rotate into the JBC. Similarly, House Staff from other hospitals rotate in the Center upon arrangements, e.g., the Department of Internal Medicine, Metropolitan Hospital in Manila.
